Eliza Auld
Chief Advancement Officer, International Museum of Dance
Eliza Auld (she/her/hers) is the Chief Advancement Officer for IMOD. Hailing from Australia, Eliza previously worked as the Development & Events Manager for national touring theater company, Bell Shakespeare. In this role, she helped the company navigate a global pandemic, open a brand new purpose-built public venue, and grow the breadth of the philanthropy and corporate partnerships programs to increase support for the company at all levels countrywide. She simultaneously worked as an usher at the Sydney Opera House for eight years, which is where she developed her love for dance!
With a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, a wealth of unique leadership experience in the Arts and nonprofit sectors, and a truly international perspective, Eliza comes to IMOD with a creative and comprehensive approach to capacity building and achieving financial sustainability. For Eliza, artists are essential workers, and she sees her role as an opportunity to provide a space where they have the support and freedom to learn, grow, and create, and where ANYONE can access the power of dance and their own creativity.
One of Eliza’s favorite movies growing up was Billy Elliot, and right now she’s obsessed with the work of choreographer Charm La’Donna.
