Jamie Wright

Jamie Ray Wright (he/him/his) serves as the IMOD Director and Producer of the MODPOD Podcast. Jamie started with IMOD in 2017 when the Founder and CEO Hilary Palanza was conceptualizing and creating the IMOD brand. Starting first behind-the-scenes of MODPOD, he moved into the spotlight as the podcast host and now voice of MODPOD. Jamie attended Stanford University earning a B.A. in Economics and the University of San Francisco earning a M.B.A. in Marketing. Jamie’s focus at IMOD is sharing the connectivity of dance and the legacy of both those he is able to speak with as part of MODPOD and those that are part of the legacy programs moving forward. Jamie believes IMOD can be an educational vehicle that will preserve the history of dance and educate the public about this beautiful art.

FAVORITES: Jamie’s favorite dance movie/film is All That Jazz (1979). This is a loose autobiographical film directed by (and about) the famous choreographer, Bob Fosse. His favorite choreographer is Bob Fosse. Creating a pedagogy rooted in his self-taught technique, he captured sensuality and hipness in all of his work.
