Patrizia Herminjard

Patrizia Herminjard (she/her/hers) serves as IMOD’s Director of Cinematic Engagement. Native to Switzerland, she is a choreographer, filmmaker, dancer and Lecturer in the Theater & Dance Department at Colorado College (‘96). She earned her master’s degree from the University of California, Irvine under the direction of Donald McKayle. Her screendance works have been presented at the Dance on Camera Festival, Dance Camera West Dance Media Festival, San Francisco Dance Film Festival, and Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema. Patrizia aims to serve IMOD by democratizing dance cinema and curating powerful content that educates and inspires, building a diverse dance community. She is deeply grateful to her mentors, Donald McKayle and Eiko Otake, each of whom have shaped her as a performer, teacher, and filmmaker.
